MBA in Hospital Management is a Two year post graduate management program specialized in managing various hospital or health care organization functional activities and operations. The time for the completion of the Full-time MBA (Hospital Management) is usually 2 years depending on the division of semesters which ranges from 4-6 semesters. The core management courses that are delivered in the curriculum include financial management, human resources, operations, marketing and such area of specialization as public health administration, health care economics, hospital planning, and administration.
The standard entrance tests that are considered for admitting students to MBA (Hospital Management) courses include CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT, ATMA, as well as state Level tests. Freshers having a Bachelors degree in any field of study with not less than 50% marks in aggregate are eligible to apply. The scores obtained in the entrance test along with the group discussion, personal interview, and work experience held during the group discussion are taken into account while admitting students to the MBA Healthcare Management programs offered by the various institutes in India.
