Bachelor of Fashion Design (BFD) is a three-year or four‐year undergraduate programme which trains the students in multiple fields of fashion. This program covers his and our whole knowledge about fashion design. These include drawing sketches, lining of patterns, sewing, draping, assemble of garments, fabric study, trendy, and etc. Student learned both theoretical and practical skills in workshops, internships, and projects.
An courses is taught in textile science, color theory, history of costumes and CAD (computer-aided design) alongside fundamental ones like drawing. Students can also attend electives to gain in depth knowledge in popular areas like communication in fashion, fashion merchandising, designing costumes, knitwear and design, etc.

1. For candidates to be qualified, completing 10+2 and at least 50% aggregate marks in any stream of subjects from a recognized board are compulsory prerequisites.
2. The requirement of students taking the NIFT/college conducted entrance exam followed by personal interview rounds will be mandatory to get enrolled.
3. Advantageously, gives a valid score in a test like CEED, NID or UCEED along with the design portfolio, the admissions process is the next step.
4. Student must have these skills such as one interest on how to design, an eye to detail, creativity and especially skills on making illustrations, to make their course a success.
5. The ability of a candidate to present fashion concepts through illustrations and sketches as a part of the selection process is particularly valued as prior experience in this area.
1. The candidate shall have completed 10+2 in any of the stream (Science, Commerce or Arts) with minimum 50% aggregate marks.
2. For candidates from general category, the age bracket (17 years and above) is the minimum age. For reserved category candidates, the age relaxer would be applied in line with government rules.
3. Students have to clear qualifying entrance exams such as NIFT or the entrance test for the other design schools which are different for the different universities. Some colleges admit students who have scoring highest in their 10+2 classes.
4. This course can be taken by academic backgrounds like Science, Arts or Commerce. Grasping with art does not require the previous design or art training even though such experiences can be rewarding.
5. The English language skills are crucial as the main medium of study is the English language for most institutes or colleges whose students are pursuing this Degree course in India.

General Aptitude Test: Her tests logical reasoning, verbal ability, and quantitative aptitude skills that are relevant to the design of fashion.

Interview: This platform enables the applicants to put forward their views about fashion design, learning background, and career plan before the faculty members or the representative of fashion industry.
