Rajiv Gandhi Technical University (RGPV), a state level technical university is located in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India. Established in 1998, RGPV has now become one of the leading technical universities in Central India offering undergraduate and post graduate programs in disciplines related to engineering, technology, management and pharmacy. The university has a spread of affiliated colleges and institutions with about 150,000 students enrolled. RGPV has a wide array of undergraduate and postgraduate courses like B.Tech., M.Tech., B.Pharm., MBA and many others. Some of the most preferred courses on offer are computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, civil engineering and MBA. Admission in 2024 will start in May 2023. Students have to compete with lakhs of applicants from all across the country or the state for national or state level entrance exams like JEE Main, MP PET etc depending upon the program. Exams are held each year during the December to January period and the results are out by February. The application form for admission will be placed on the official website of the university and the colleges that are affiliated with the institution. Admission of students will be on merit basis, on the basis of exam scores, academic record and an interview to be conducted by the colleges. Since the academic year begins by July-August.

Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya Admission Process
- The applicants are eligible for a number of BTech, MTech, MCA and MBA programs and other under and postgraduate course.
- To apply for BTech, candidates should have passed 10+2 with compulsory physics, chemistry and mathematics subjects. The admissions are on the basis of the entrance examinations like JEE mains, MP PET needed nationwide/state level.
- A BTech degree in a subject of interest is mostly a requirement for MTech applicants. Admission process handles national/state level exams such as GATE, RGPV etc.
- A bachelor's degree is compulsory for MCA. It is required at graduation level or at 10+2 level with mathematics. Admissions are determined by the NIMCET, which is a nation-wide/state-wide exam.
- Similarly, any graduates from all bachelor can apply for MBA or other master programs. Admitted candidates are needed to take an exam/interview that will be judged by RGPV.
- The practice of application starts in may-june of most programs in online or offline mode. Sessions of counseling are the ones that carry out before final admission.
- Seat will be allocated as per the system set up by the university which might be for instance Eligibility, marks in qualifying/entrance exams, choice filling, reservations etc.
