NIT Delhi Eligibility Criteria 2024
1. Educational Qualification
It is necessary to qualify 10+2 or equivalent exam with at least 75% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
2. Age Limit
There is no upper age limit for getting into NIT Delhi.
3. Entrance Exams
You got to appear in the JEE Main examination, which is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Based on your JEE Main ranks, you can select the counselling process for admission.
4. Subjects Required
You would need Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at 10+2 level. Some of the programs would require you to have other subjects too.
5. Number of Attempts

NIT Delhi Admission Process 2024
1. Admissions to NIT Delhi proceeds from the JEE Main examination result. Students should qualify for JEE main and the cut-off needs to be observed as next step.
2. If a student is successful in JEE mains, apply once more to NIT Delhi for admission to BTech courses. Students can apply online by visiting the university's website where the application form is posted.
3. On successful admission, students can pursue a 4-year BTech course of study in the disciplines such as Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering & more. Approximately, there are 900 vacant seats across disciplines.
4. Through the JaSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) counselling rounds, JEE Main merit rank determines the filling of the seats. Some counselling sessions may be taken in rounds where students of higher ranks have precedence during intake.
5. To apply there should be a minimum aggregate of 75% marks in the qualifying examination or class 12th extend with Physics, Chemistry, and Maths as requisite subjects. Furthermore, the minimum marks criteria is applicable to the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates also.
6. In addition to the merit rank, factors such as selection for branches, orders of candidature, category certificates and so on, usually determine the seats allocation process.
7. Lastly, candidates selected have to process the admission fee before the end of time frame to ensure admission and take up the course in NIT, Delhi.
