The Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT) is a state owned public university located in West Bengal, India. In 2000, it was set up to advance technology and administration education services throughout the state. MAKAUT has more than 150 participating colleges which provide a range of courses including computer science, engineering, pharmacy, management, architecture among others. Some of other undergraduate courses at MAKAUT are BTech in Computer Science and Engineer, BTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering, MBA in Marketing, and BPharm. Every year, students sit for their exams in December and June, in the semester system frame which the university uses. We eagerly anticipate that the admission process for the 2024 will begin around April of 2023. Students are to be selected through MAKAUT or college website. Entry of the candidate into the course is mainly based upon the candidate’s performance in the relevant entrance examinations like WBJEE, JEE Main, and OJEE along with their 10+2 academic level. Fill up application form, attend interview at the campuses as needed by the college and complete admission by submitting fees within the deadline. The college stands for the development of skills required for technical education and possesses labs, libraries, workshop and other high-tech campus amenities.

Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology Admission Process
1. Admission to undergraduate(UG) engineering programs like Bachelor of Technology (BTech) is done via the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) during both the first year as well as different UG programs. The students are the ones that write the common entrance exam and attend it.
2. Admission in postgraduate programs such as MTech, MPharm,, MBA, etc. sometimes requires the passing of various postgraduate entrance examinations like GATE, GPAT, etc. Though most of these PG programs also have their own university level entrance test.
3. The university posts about online applications once the results of the entrance exam is available. People who are eager to participate in the process must be the ones who complete the forms before the required deadline.
4. Based upon the merit rank at the entrance test, counseling sessions are held wherein students select their desired streams./combination of college/branch. During seat allocation the students lists their counseling choices, fulfil the eligibility criteria and classification of reservation policies are considered.
5. When all the examinations are over and seat allotment result is announced, the candidates who are selected have to do the admission formalities such as document verification and fees payment etc., according to the given schedule.
6. The University provides a number of makeshift centers to help applicants with their application procedures, filling in of forms and addressing their admission inquiries. Important events like admission open deadline etc. will be displayed on the MAKAUT's official website.
