Deemed university Dr DY Patil Vidyapeeth is present in Pune, Maharashtra. In 2003, it took shape and has been known as one of the top medical and healthcare education institutions in India. The university has many courses across the fields of medicine, dentistry, therapy, nursing, eye care, biotechnology, and management. The MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery) program is one of the top courses available for a duration of 4.5 years, and there is also the 4-year BDS (the Bachelor of Dental Surgery) program. The MBBS curriculum meets the world class standards and comprise of advanced facilities for education students. The maximum number of seats available for the MBBBS program every year is 150. The BDS course, eventually recognized by the Dental Council of India with 100 seats or more each year. Examinations of these programs, usually, take place in March/April and September/October in a yearly basis. From September 2023 onwards, the students who are interested in getting admission in the 2024 batch of the medical college will have to give the national-level entrance examination like NEET in 2023. This is a two-stage process because candidates must pass the exams, followed by opting for the university separately and finally taking further tests/interviews for confirmation. Dr DY Patil Vidyapeeth Eligibility Criteria 2024
- For MBBS: Candidates must have passed 12th standard from science background with physics, chemistry, biology and English with minimum 50% marks (40% marks for Minority/SC/ST categories). In the same way, you will also have to appear and clear NEET.
- For BDS: Minimum of 50% (40% for reserved categories) in 12th passed with chemistry, physics, and biology with all the subjects. Apart from this, you must also score good marks in NEET exam.Â
- For BAMS: The application process requires that you must have passed senior secondary with physics, chemistry and biology subjects and must have minimum 50% aggregate (40% reserved).
- For BPT: 12^{th} pass with physics,chemistry, biology and English, minimum 50% marks (45% for reserved categories), is the eligibility criterion for you to apply.Â
- For MPT/MOT/MOS and other allied health science courses: You have to have at least 50% of the marks in a related bachelor degree (e.g., BPT to enter MPT) (45% for reserved categories).
- For nursing programs: Graduation from any recognized 10+2 Science stream and English with a minimum mark of 45%.
- For PhD: Studies in the particular discipline corresponding to the PhD subject area and with minimum 55% marks as a Postgraduate degree.

Dr DY Patil Vidyapeeth Admission Process 2024
1. Admission Applications:
- The Netizens should fill in an online application form on the website of the university. Application forms are issued during the first or second weeks of January and July to August.
2. Eligibility:Â
- The 10+2 qualification is needed for undergraduate programs as the setting is that the minimum aggregate marks should be there and range from 40% -60% based on the program.
3. Entrance Tests:
- The Nepal Medical Council conducts the MBB system and selects students to appear for NEET examination. There are not so many other programs which possess their own entrance tests coordinated by the university either.
4. Counselling:Â
