It is a private university established in Dehradun, capital of the newly created Uttrakhand state of India. It was established in the year 2012 and today it has expanded a lot and is among one of the best universities in the northern part of India. Uttaranchal University affiliated to University Grants Commission (UGC) and approved by Government of Uttarakhand. It has been given a B++ grade in the NAAC rating system which ranges from ‘A’ being the highest to ‘D’ being the lowest, with B++ being 2.89 out of 4. According to the NIRF rankings of 2023, the Uttaranchal University has ranked in the 101-150 bracket of the universities of India.
University provides different courses at the undergraduate level, post graduate level and even doctoral level in various fields including engineering, law, management, agriculture, nursing, pharmacy and many others. Some of the major courses offered at Uttaranchal University include B.Tech, MBA, LL.B, B.Sc Agriculture, B.Sc Nursing and B. Pharma. Exams are Semester-wise and are conducted off-campus in the form of written exams at exam centers. The admission procedure for 2024 batch is likely to commence online from March 2023 and admission would be done through national and state level test. The esteemed companies that offer placements to the students include Infosys, Wipro, HCL, Tech Mahindra and the Tata consultancies. The record highest salary offered for the batch of 2021 was 18 LPA by Microsoft. The remuneration scale offered by various branches lie in between Rupees four lakh to Rupees six lakh per year.
