Shri Mata Vaishnavi Devi University is a private university in the state of Jammu and Kashmir in Kakryal, Katra. SMVDU was set up in the year 1999; UGC recognized university and National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has accredited the university with ‘A’ Grade. By NIRF Rankings 2023, SMVDU has been placed among the 101-150 universities in the India ranking.
The university boasts of its programs that include undergraduate, post graduate and doctoral programs in different fields including engineering, science, management, humanities and social sciences among others.
