Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) is a public university focused on health science education located in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. Established in 1996, RGUHS aims to bring together all health science institutions in the state under one umbrella and ensure adequate and standardized training of health personnel. The university offers academic programs across various disciplines such as medicine, pharmacy, nursing, dentistry and allied health sciences at diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate and superspeciality levels. Two popular courses are the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) which is a 4.5 year program and Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) which is 4 year program. The annual university exams for these programs traditionally begin in the month of June every year. The admission process for the 2024 academic batch will commence in May 2024. Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Admission Process 2024
1. Check eligibility criteria
Candidates need to check if they meet the eligibility criteria set by RGUHS for the course they wish to apply for. This includes criteria related to age, academic qualifications, entrance test scores etc.
2. Apply online
Eligible candidates need to visit the official RGUHS website and fill out the online application form before the deadline. All required documents need to be uploaded with the form. An application fee also needs to be paid online.
3. Entrance exam
For some courses, candidates may need to appear for an entrance test conducted by RGUHS or designated test conducting body. Performance in this test is considered during admission.
4. Counseling
Based on application details, test scores and availability of seats, RGUHS releases counseling/merit lists. Shortlisted candidates are called for document verification and counseling rounds where seat allotment takes place.
5. Admission Confirmation
Once seats are allotted in the counseling rounds, candidates need to pay the admission fees within the stipulated time to confirm their admission and reserve their seat.
6. Report to college
Finally candidates need to report to their allotted college on the designated date as per RGUHS notification with all relevant documents. The college then completes the remaining admission formalities.
