Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, known as JIIT, is a private deemed university that is located in Noida, a town which is in Uttar Pradesh state in India. Launched in 2001, JIIT is one of the elite institutions in the country that provides both undergraduate and postgraduate education in engineering, computer science, IT, and management. The institute has a green campus with a mansion-like structure, covering an area of 110 acres of land, and manifests the highest level of infrastructure and facilities.
A few of the most sought courses taught by the college are BTech in Computer Science and Engineering and BTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering. The educational programs of B.Tech are 4-year-long and every subject of the curriculum has enough involvement of both theory and practical training. Students get prepared for their first and second semester exams in December and May respectively.
The B.Tech programs at JIIT of the 2024 batch start their admission process in January 2024. Admission is a distinguishable process based on JEE Main scores and either on scoring marks in JIIT entrance exam and interview or based on JEE Main scores. Online registration will be available for students with minimum attributes of quality education and subjects completed in class 12 according to the university’s criteria. Seats are allocated through various counseling rounds held between the end of April and starting of July for different programs and also for diverse categories.

- For BTech programs: At least qualifying marks of 55 % (45% for SC/ST) in case of subjects Physics and Mathematics and Technical Vocational subject at least of 55% (45% for SC/ST) in aggregate and another Technical Vocational Subject out of Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational Subject.
- For MTech programs: BSc/BTech/BSc Tech and must have at least 60% marks (55% for SC/ST).
- For MSc programs: Bachelor of Science in the particular field where at least 55% mark had been secured (50% for the SC/ST Candidates or equivalent G. P. A Respectively).
- For MCA program: Candidates who have passed the three-year bachelor degree examinations with at least 50 percent marks (45 percent for SC/ST) and must have studied Mathematics in at least higher secondary or graduation level.
- For PhD: Should have Masters Degree related to the discipline with minimum 55% mark or equivalent CGPA. Not only GATE/NET is just about a competetive exam but also the reason it is required is valid.

1. Entrance Exam
Students have to take up challenges of entrance examinations like JEE Main or UPSEE. On the basis of how they performed and what their results were, the best students are usually shortlisted.
2. Application
The candidates whose applications are under consideration can apply either using online mode or offline mode by filling the application form and paying the application fee. Attaching all the appropriate documents and certificates is important.
3. Merit List
Submission of examination scores, application particulars, and other merit list requirements, the provisional merit list is made available on the official website.
4. Counseling
During counseling rounds, candidates whose academics are exceptional are often contacted in sessions where documents are verified, branch and campus preferences are collected as well as seats are allotted based on merit, choices and availability.
5. Admission Confirmation
When the seat is chosen during the admission process, candidates have to pay the deposit to the admission fee in order to ensure the provisional admission and to stay in the line.
6. Reporting at Campus
Lastly, the student has to physically come on the date and time fixed by the university at the authorized institution to have done documents verification and registration process to confirm the admission.
