Ashoka University Application Procedure

  1. Online Application: Prospective students need to fill out the online application form on the university's website, providing details such as personal information, academic background, and extracurricular activities. Applicants will also need to submit a Statement of Purpose (SOP) and two recommendation letters from teachers or other relevant individuals.

  2. Application Fee: Once the online application is completed, applicants need to pay the application fee. For Indian applicants, the application fee is INR 750, and for international applicants, the fee is USD 100. Payment can be made online via debit/credit card or through a bank transfer.

  3. Entrance Exam: All applicants (except those applying for the Young Scholars Programme) need to take the Ashoka Aptitude Assessment (AAA), which is an online test that evaluates analytical and reasoning abilities. The AAA is free of cost, and candidates can take it multiple times.

  4. SAT/ACT Scores (for international applicants): International applicants can also submit their SAT/ACT scores in lieu of taking the AAA. The minimum required scores are 1350 (SAT) or 30 (ACT).

  5. Interview: Shortlisted candidates are invited for an interview with faculty and admissions representatives. The interview can be conducted in-person, online, or over the phone, and assesses the candidate's academic preparedness, intellectual curiosity, and personal qualities.

  6. Admission Decision: Candidates are notified of the admission decision within a few weeks after the interview. Admitted candidates will receive a formal offer letter with instructions for accepting the offer.

  7. Acceptance and Enrollment: Admitted candidates need to confirm their acceptance and pay the acceptance fee (INR 55,000 for domestic candidates, USD 1,000 for international candidates) to secure their spot. They also need to submit all required documents (transcripts, test scores, etc.) before the deadline. Once all requirements are met, candidates can enroll in their desired program at Ashoka University.
