The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) tests candidates on physics, chemistry, and mathematics as per Class 11 and 12 CBSE/WBCHSE syllabus. Physics syllabus includes kinematics, laws of motion, work, energy, power, circular motion, gravitation, properties of solids and liquids, thermodynamics, kinetic theory of gases, oscillation, waves, electrostatics, magnetism, AC/DC circuits, EM waves, optics, modern physics like communication systems, and semiconductors. Around 30% weightage.
Mathematics portion tests calculus, algebra, trigonometry, vector algebra, 3D geometry, probability, permutations and combinations, binomial theorem etc. Covers around 40% of exam.
