VSAT refers to Vidyarthi Scholastic Aptitude Test in short. This exam is an entry-level test at the national level, which is conducted by various institutions in India to provide the students with admission to undergraduate engineering programs. VSAT examination assesses some key aptitudes in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English. It reinforces the core competencies related to hands-on operation and general intelligence, probabilistic reasoning, and language proficiency that are needed for engineering pursuits.
The VSAT pattern is on multiple-choice question and is negative marked for wrong response. It is a three-hour test of English language aptitude. It is conducted offline on computer, and it is predetermined by the computer system. VSAT exam sites happen to be scattered through the many towns and cities in the whole of India. 2,49,032 candidates attended the VSAT Exam in 2023. The results of the test are published within a month of the test date on the test system.
