UPESMET (the entrance exam conducted by UPES University Dehradun) is for the university level only and is taken by the candidates who wish to pursue management programs like MBA, BBA, and Integrated MBA. The UPESMET test is designed to check/evaluate the candidate's ability to solve problems, make puzzles and tests, and use basic information, as well as the candidate's level in English. Exam is an annually conducted exam which is 2 hours long, 100 in multiple choice questions.
UPESMET score from this test will be used by UPES for selection of aspirants for specializations like Energy and Infrastructure, General Management, Aviation Management etc, and the UPESMET exam dates for 2024 are likely be in the month of February/March, as well. In 2023, the examination body for UPESMET examination announced the result within 3 weeks after the examination. The exam is without deduction for wrong answers and 1 mark for every correct answer is awarded.
Through the UPESM, applicants can seek admission into highly specialized UPES management programs and thus add to their competitive profile. UPESMET scores indicate the ability to take part in academic courses and for the admission purposes of UPES University. Students who score above the specified cut-off will be called for GD/PI, while the top scorers will be awarded merit-based scholarships. With involvement of industry and placement opportunities, UPES management programs are the first option for those who participated in UPESMET the exam which required to get admission in management programmes.
