UPCET (Uttar Pradesh Common Entrance Test) is an annual state level entrance test held by Abdul Kalam Technical University, Uttar Pradesh, for those aspiring to join undergraduate and post-graduate programs by Engineering, technology, pharmacy, architecture and management. It is among the most competitive exams in the state, and it is a great pride for the students who get selected.
The UPCET is a subject-specific examination that requires the Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics for BTech sep, admissions and the Physics, Chemistry and Biology for Pharmacy admissions. For BArch course the incoming students are tested for their mathematics and aptitude. The exam will happen through both offline and online means and at multiple exam centers across the Uttar Pradesh state. The time duration of the session is 3 hours, which has 150 multiple choice questions.
The UPCET 2022 that was held in June 2022 had 2 shifts - one being in the morning and the other in the afternoon. The total number of students, who appeared in the exam, is 1.34 lakhs. Consequently, results were revealed in June’ 2022 in online platform. It should be kept in mind that the UPCET, for admission to the session 2024-2025, would be held in June 2024, the month fixed by AKTU. According to the earlier schedule, the results are expected to come out 30 days after the campus visit.
