The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) entrance exam, which is being conducted annually on behalf of all the NIFT campuses in India, is the national level entrance exam for UG and PG degree courses in fashion designing and fashion technology at NIFT. NIFT exam is divided into three stages: -entrance exam (written exam), situation test, and personal interview. In the written test, the candidate’s creative ability, writing skills, and comprehension abilities are evaluated through multi-choice questions and questions that require describing the candidate’s skills on numeracy, communication ability, English comprehension, analysis, and the knowledge of general knowledge and current affairs.
The survival test is basis on the written test marks that are qualified to the situation test which is an observation and conceptional skill assessment. Then the Selected candidates are taken to personal interviews and portfolio reviews. In most cases in March or April, the NIFT declares results. NIFT Entrance test for the academic session 2024-25 is proposed to be held in January, 2024. The candidates may be informed about the results by April, 2024. The ultimate winners would be decided by summing up all scores of candidates from the three rounds. Seat will be given accordingly through counseling in the order of the students choice, rank and availability.
