The Assam Joint Entrance Examination (AJEE), an annual state-level common test, is conducted according to the rules as an entry-level test for engineering, agricultural, veterinary, fisheries science, and related professional degree courses in different colleges and universities throughout Assam. AJEE is conducted both by the university [Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU) Guwahati] and the Directorate of Technical Education, Assam.
The conducting body has no date for the AJEE examination released as yet. The exits typically begin with the application form which is made available in January every year. AIJEE is the exam to be taken in the year 2024 on the dates 25th and 26th of April. The result are getting announce within one month of exam. The counselling process commences with those candidates who have made it through the AJEE Phase II exam and they are counselled as per their choice of program and college in accordance with their rankings.

Age | Candidates must be at least 18 years old and not more than 25 years old on December 31 of the year of examination. However, there is a relaxation of 5 years for candidates belonging to the reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PWD). |

BE (Bachelor of Engineering): | Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination from a recognized board of education with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. |
B.Arch (Bachelor of Architecture): | Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination from a recognized board of education with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. They must also have passed the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture (CoA). |
BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration): | Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination from a recognized board of education with any stream. |
BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications): | Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination from a recognized board of education with Mathematics as a compulsory subject. |
B.Sc. (Bachelor of Science): | Candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination from a recognized board of education with the relevant subjects as compulsory subjects. |
