Thakur College of Engineering and Technology (TCET) is a private engineering college and it provides the students with a four year under graduate program in engineering such as Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Instrumentation and Control Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, etc. The minimum standard that one is required to meet for admission to these programs is have passed the HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics as subjects and have scored not less than 50% aggregate marks (45% in case of SC/ST/OBC – non creamy layer). TCET considers the national level examination such as JEE Main, MHT CET and Maharashtra DCET as valid for the purpose of joining the proposed branches in engineering. The Computer Science, IT and ETC departments also take additional qualifications from the board examinations as the qualifying standard.
The admission procedure of Thakur College of Engineering and Technology Mumbai is initiated in April for the various undergraduate and postgraduate courses which the college offers. As for admission, it is online as well as offline mode that the students can fill up.
For online application, a candidate has to log in to the official website www.tcetmumbai.in and select the Admission on top. They have to register for an account and even complete the application through entering their basic information, such as name and contact information as well as the scores that they got in the qualifying examination etc, and they can also upload scanned copies of documents which are necessary. The submission of the application fees can be done online through the use of credit card, debit card or net banking.

The Thakur College of Engineering and Technology (TCET) is situated in Mumbai and provides various Under Graduate (UG) engineering courses for example Computer Engineering, Information Technology Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and so on. It is noted that the minimum percentage of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics of the 10+2 examination is mandatory to be eligible to apply for these UG engineering courses. Valid examinations include Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT-CET), JEE Main, and the diploma course of Maharashtra. Computer Applications, Information Technology and Mass Media are other non-engineering UG programmes of the university where the pass requirement is a minimum of 45% in 10+2 in any stream in a recognized board.

The Thakur College of Engineering and Technology (TCET) in Mumbai and its multiple programs of study include a variety of postgraduate levels and fields of study. There are slight differences depending on the department in which the applicant is applying. For the MTech programs in Structural Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Construction Management the candidates must have completed their BE/BTech in Civil Engineering with 55% marks in aggregate together. For MTech Computer Engineering, a candidate having BE/BTech in Computer Engineering/ Information Technology with minimum 55% marks can apply. It is mandatory for the MTech admissions for the students to clear the gate qualification. The requirement for MBA programs including Marketing, Finance, HR, and Systems is a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in any field with 50% percent or above. The valid entrance tests are CMAT, CAT and MHCET for admission to this course. For MCA program, a candidate can apply if he or she has completed BCA, BSc (Computer Science/IT), B.E./B.Tech. Passing/relevant degree with minimum 55% overall percentage of marks obtained. Regarding the entrance exams, students have the options of CET, APICET, and NIMCET.
