The National Institute of Technology, Karnataka (NITK ), Surathkal is an outstanding engineering college of India. Established as Karnataka Regional Engineering College in 1960, it transformed into a National Institute of Technology through a notification of 2002. Our NITK Surathkal envisages to be in top positions in terms of technical institutions by the end of the year 2024.
National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK) is situated on a 300-acre campus in a town called Surathkal which is in the coast of Karnataka state. It has over 20 departments that cater to BTech, MTech, MS and Phd courses. Key areas and also for 2024 is artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, sustainability, electric mobility, and cybersecurity. Significant investments will be directed towards acquiring laboratory materials and enhancements to ensure the advancement matches the international norms.

For BTech programs, passport holders with 10+2 or equivalent with at least 75% marks in physics, chemistry and mathematics are only eligible.
For MTech programs, candidates should have BTech/BE or the relevant stream of engineering in their subject domain as a prerequisite. They should have secured at least 60% global aggregate or 6.5 CGPA on a 10 point scale.
For MSc, its pre-requisite will be bachelor's degree (BSc) with 55 % marks or equivalent.
For PhD admissions, candidates need to have MPhil, MS, or M.Eng. with marks not below 60% or equivalent in the relevant discipline directly.
