Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda (MSU) is regarded as one of the most well-known higher learning institutions in Gujarat that has its campus in Vadodara city of the state. Established in 1949, under the initiative of the former ruler of the Baroda State, namely Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III, this institute is also called the Sayajirao University of Baroda. MSU is a university that offers a wide range of study options including undergraduate, postgraduate study, and even PhD programs. This multi-disciplinary institution has faculties like arts and culture, science, technology, medicine, social work, performing arts, business and management, and others. The courses, such as BTech in Computer Engineering and MSc in Physics, which are widely taken up at MSU are noteworthy. The B.Tech in Computer Engineering is centered around the core functional areas of programming, algorithms, database management, operating systems and others that will lead to high levels of both technical and analytical skills in learners. The leading dates are July 2023 and November 2023, depending on the exam. The MSc Physics program is based on topics critical for any physicist: classical mechanics, electromagnetism, statistical mechanics and, of course, quantum physics, which are designed to develop a strong scientific background for further research. Many mid-term exams must be taken in April and December 2024. There are some steps in the process of getting admitted to MSU. Firstly, one should have met the eligibility criteria. Secondly, one should participate in the tests like GUJCET which is for undergraduate entries and PGCEE which is for postgraduates. - Admissions are usually offered for two semesters or 'intakes' annually - once for the Semester 1 (July/August) and once for the Semester 2 (January).

- Through the class 12 merit scores, the elite students are admitted to the undergraduates programs. Certain programs may also ask for extra admission examinations.

- For the postgraduate courses most of the departments themselves are the ones responsible for the entrance examinations. Some departments might choose students based on their performance in state/national level of the exams like UGC NET, GATE to name some of them.

1. Application Form - Through the online application form available on the university website academc.barode @ac.in, students interested in admission can apply. Normally, they are available by the end of May or the beginning of June. 

2. Eligibility - Each course has its own eligibility criteria such as qualifying exams, marked score line and so on. You should meet all the particular requirements before you can apply. 

3. Selection of students - The university holds tests for courses that is B.Tech, M.Sc, PhD. In the course that is not basic, selection is based on the merit in the qualifying exam.

4. Documents Required - While filling up the application form, have the following documents ready with you: Marksheet, certificates, passport-size photos, etc. copy of them, signature, etc.

5. Application Charges - The charging of application is not same for every course. Instruction shows to pay fess online by Net banking/Card payment during the time of filling the form. 

6. Admission Process: Onwards with the selection and click on application dashboard to get your admission letter. Please send all the required documents and the referred payment as required. Finally, download the enrollment order to file to the department you have been assigned.
