Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (BAMU) is a well-known university situated in Aurangabad, Maharashtra state. It was initially founded in 1958 as Marathwada University and in 1961 the university was renamed after the eminent dalit leader Dr B.R Ambedkar. BAMU has been accredited with B++ Grade by NAAC and it secured 76th position in NIRF 2023 University Rankings.
The university comprises of various faculties that offer undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and research programs in sciences, social sciences, technology, commerce, law, management and other fields. Some of the courses provided are BA, BSc, BCom, BCA, BBA, MA, MSc, MCom, MBA, MCA, MTech and so on. The admission of the 2024 batch will start in the month of May or June 2024. One can apply for the course either through online mode or offline mode by submitting the filled application forms that are available on the university website www.bamu.ac.in. The courses offered in the college are categorized into various streams and the eligibility criteria, entrance examination and admission process vary with each of the courses. BAMU has a well equipped placement and training cell which helps in providing campus recruitments for the students by different organizations. About 300 national and multinational firms come to the campus for placement every year. TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Accenture etc are the top recruiters. With regard to placement, 70% of the eligible students got placed in the season through on-campus and pooled drive mode. The maximum salary stood at 18 LPA while the minimum remained between 4-6 LPA.

Major recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and Tech Mahindra. The maximum salary offered in the year was Rs. 18 lakh per annum by Microsoft.
