Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) is a state university located in the Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, India. It was established in 2002 with the aim of promoting higher education and research in the region. The university is named after a Sufi saint Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah who was known for his social and spiritual contributions.
History and Campus:
BGSBU was established by the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly in 2002 and started functioning in a rented building in Rajouri town. In 2005, the university was shifted to its current campus spread over 600 acres of land at Rajouri.
