MES is a state level entrance examination conducted by the State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra for admission intake into various undergraduate and post graduate courses in professional field in the state of Maharashtra. The examination challenges the learners in subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology.
The MES exam is very competitive with so many students writing for a few places that are available in all the colleges in Maharashtra. The exam has two parts – a 300 mark online common entrance test (CET) part and a state level counselling part. Admissions are offered with reference to candidate CET scores, declared preferences, category and availability of seats.
It is important to note that the MES exam results for the CET stage are released within a month of the examination. The MES exam was held in August 21-23, 2024 and the Results was declared on September 15,2024. The comprehensive tentative schedule for 2024 is as follows; exam dates are between August 18 and August 20, 2024, and the results are expected to be released in mid-September 2024.

1. Consult the exam requirements to find out if you are eligible. It is essential for the candidates that they have a bachelor’s degree in any field, with at least 60% marks or more, or a master’s degree.
2. For the exact dates when these application forms are released, you can refer to the official website of the Maharashtra Education Society (MES) and click on examination notification to find out more information about the dates when the forms are available, normally in September/October of the year preceding the exam.
3. Click on the ‘Register’ button and enter a username and password to be used on the website. While applying for the job, it is important to fill in all particulars that are needed in the application form including personal details, contact details, educational qualification details etc.
4. To pay the application fee online there are various methods like credit card, debit card, and even net banking. These fees are not fixed because there are different cateories of charges. Save the payment receipt.
5. Photograph and signature to be uploaded are to be scanned and in the correct format as prescribed by the authorities. Ensure that all the information entered in the application for the MES exam is correct before submitting the form.
6. Press ‘Print’ to take a printout of the application form once completed with the application number for further use. In this regard, authorities will give official intimation about admit card, exam pattern, syllabus, exam centers etc later on.
