The GIC Assistant Manager exam is held by the General Insurance Corporation of India to recruit candidates for the position of Assistant Manager in fields such as accounts, legal, information technology and technical. The exam is conducted through a written test of sixty objective type questions grouped into three categories, namely Reasoning Ability, English Language, and Quantitative Aptitude. It is a somewhat competitive examination with around 3 lakhs candidates competing for 100-150 posts every year.
Training and testing: selection process includes a written test and an interview. The merit list containing the last list of candidates is determined by their performance in the written examination and the interview. The outcome of the initial or written test, depending on the institution, is often released within 20-30 days. The final process is the interview, and the few candidates are selected from the group to be interviewed.

1. The application form can also be obtained from the official website of GIC or from the employment newspaper where the GIC publishes the notification regarding the release of the application form. This mostly occurs between 6-8 months to the examination date.
2. Check whether you are fit to apply for GIC by looking at factors such as age, educational needs, nationality among others.
3. Complete the application for the post of GIC Assistant Manager either online or offline, depending on the nature of the job description mentioned in the advertisement before the mentioned due date. It is important to give truthful, detailed information about oneself and one’s academic achievements.
4. Complete the application process and fee for the examination either through online mode or DD as the case maybe. Fee structure are provided in the notification.
5. You can load scanned images of photographs, signatures, documents, certificates etc as per the requirements of the uploading process.
6. After any one of the two has been submitted, take a print out of the completed application form and fees payment receipts.
