EMAT (Engineering, Management Aptitude Test)is a computer-based test conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) for Undergraduate engineering programers and management courses at AICTE approved institutions of India. The EMAT is basically created to estimate individuals' skill in numerical methods, logical reasoning, English language facility as well as general knowledge. Students have the ability to have flexible exam times as there are constant exam dates that enables candidates to sit the exams.
Exam idea is to present an option to engineering aspirants apart from centralized exam such as JEE which every year holds the monopoly. The tally of institutes in 800 engineering & management colleges in the country having accepted EMAT scores is the highest. The test will last about 3 hours. There should be 180-200 multiple choice questions to cover physics, chemistry, math, logical reasoning, general knowledge, and language. The roadmap for EMAT 2024 is laid out as - the opening of online registrations in December 2023, with the dates for multiple examinations from March to July 2024. It is common for results to be declared by the 5th day working day from the test date. EMAT consists of a few opportunities to improve one's score, with the top score being considered, and utilized for admission purpose
