The CG PRE MCA Eligibility Criteria for 2024 outlines the prerequisites for candidates aspiring to pursue the Master of Computer Applications (MCA) program in Chhattisgarh. As per the guidelines set by the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CGPEB), candidates must hold a recognized bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved categories) in any discipline.
The state-level Chhattisgarh Pre MCA (CGP Res MCA) entry examination which comes under the aegis of the Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CGPEB) is conducted for first year admission to the Master of Computer Applications (MCA) degree program of various government and private institutions situated in Chhattisgarh. The test is designed to precisely assess the prospects’ mathematical ability, logical skills, and computer literacy for the program. The test will be held monthly online ever year in the month of May or June. The orthoscheme for the duration of the test is structured 100 minutes for 100 multiple choice questions separated into three sections - quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning, and computer awareness. Every 50 marks is allotted to each of the segments, which together add up to 150 marks.
There are no negative marking which is allowed in the examination. Graduation with mathematics as one of the subjects with physics Mathematics is the minimum requirement for admission. With merit ranking obtained via CG PRE MCA exam, the counseling session is held in the months July-August each year for seat allotment and admission process. The date of the exam and the release of the CG PRE MCA 2024 result is still unknown. The Chief Government Personnel Examination Board is expected to make available in the official website by the first quarter of 2024.
