AP POLYCET (Andhra Pradesh Polytechnic Common Entrance Test) is a state level entrance examination conducted annually by Andhra Pradesh State Board of Technical Education and Training for the purpose of giving admission into various colleges offering diploma courses via the polytechnic route. It shall serve the purpose of screening the candidate's sustainability in pursing tech-orientated education after the completion of the plus two course. The papers format involves Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics which total for 150 minutes. The exam question paper is objective type which doesn’t have a negative marks policy. This exam usually takes place during either April or May each year.
In year 2024, the examination taken place on May 8th for nearly 1.3 lakh of candidates who are attempting to get the seats in more than thirty six thousand diploma courses. The results were disclosed on May 24, 2023 at on the official web portal polycetap.nic.in. The minimum eligibility criteria is an intermediate or equivalent qualification (minimum of 35% marks in total) with a minimum of 35% aggregate marks from a recognized board Generally, the process begins with the registration, followed by the available slots selection, the admit card download, and after that, the entrance exam and its final result. Based on sources, AP POLYCET 2024 preparation is expected to be arranged at the starting point of the month of May 2024 in the first or second week in May; its exact date is yet to be announced by the authorities.
