The MBA in Media Management is a post graduate level programme that spans for two years in which student are equipped with business management know-how and leadership qualities so that they may be equipped to handle the management role in media organizations. It offered blended management courses, which include finance, marketing, human resource, operations and strategic management specifically with regards to media organizations. Other focused areas are media scheduling, media integration, media law, media and ethics, analyzing the audience and communication theories. Based on the curriculum, graduates are equipped for media management and leadership and also for involvement in various forms of media entrepreneurship including in traditional print, broadcast and evolving digital media businesses.
Standardized tests accepted for admission into MBA Media Management programs include: For MBA entrance GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test), GRE (Graduate Record Examinations), CAT (Common Admission Test), XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test), MAT (Management Aptitude Test), CMAT (Common Management Admission Test), ATMA (AIMS Test for Management Admissions), MAH-CET, OJEE, KMAT etc. It was also found that some institutes may also offer entrance with a carry forward system based on past academic records. Testing of acceptability can be performed only at the target business schools and the candidates need to ensure the acceptability of the tests.
