Engineering is application of science and technology for the purpose of creating solutions for machines, structures, system and the processes in order to enhance human welfare. Engineers use their expertise in science, mathematics and technology to come up with the answer to various needs in the society which include but not limited to coming up with new sources of energy, coming up with state-of-art-technology in the medical field, or enhancing transport systems. The efforts of engineers have been vital to progressing human society through inventions such as roads, rail, water supply and sewage disposal systems, electric light and power, and telecommunications systems etc. Engineering is central to the development and improvement of infrastructure across most of the global community.
Engineering can be studied at the bachelor’s degree level where students take Mathematics, Physics and Computing as core subjects together with engineering courses. Basic mathematical and scientific courses offer the necessary information, whereas engineering courses give the engineering approach and specific technical content. Most bachelor degree in engineering is four or five years in many universities. It also tends to have high academic standards to be able to enroll a student who has to complete high school with good grades and high level math and science courses. However, for those who don’t have an undergraduate degree in engineering, they can also pursue a master degree, having passed some units called bridge courses first.
Course | Highlights |
---|---|
Computer Science Engineering (CSE) | Highly sought-after field with awesome task potentialities. * Covers software development, algorithms, records systems, and various programming languages. |
