Government College of Engineering Aurangabad (GCOEA) is a Government and Self-financed institute established in 1960. This is accredited by AICTE and is affiliated to the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University, Lonere. GCOEA has also been accredited with NAAC ‘A’ Grade (CGPA 3.01) recently. GCOEA is quite young and was ranked 91 among engineering colleges in India in the recently released NIRF Rankings 2023.
GCOEA is a technical university that provides its students the UG and PG programs under various disciplines of engineering and technology. The UG programs proffered includes Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology Electronics and telecommunication Engineering Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Electrical Engineering. The PG programs are M.Tech in the specializations as well as MCA. The admission process begins in May every year and is completed through state level entrance test MHT-CET and centralized counselling. MHT CET 2024 exam dates have not been released yet as the exam is too far in the future.
Conducting often placement has always been good with many companies from various domains visiting the campus every year. Recruiting companies that offered jobs to students of the batch 2023 included Tata Consultancy Services, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, Wipro, Larsen and Toubro Infotech, Tech Mahindra, Capgemini, Persistent Systems etc As per the recent statistics, the percentage of students placed through campus recruitment program was 83.09% and they were placed in reputed organizations in india with good salary packages The highest package received is 16.8 LPA and average package is 7.2 LPA. Major sectors that are engaged in the recruitment of students from GCOEA include IT Software, Core engineering, Analytics, Consulting and Finance.
