PULEET (Punjab University Lateral Entry Test) is an entrance examination conducted by Punjab University, Chandigarh. It is designed for diploma holders and B.Sc. graduates who wish to seek lateral entry admission directly into the second year of various undergraduate engineering programs offered by Punjab University and its affiliated institutes.

The purpose of PULEET is to provide an opportunity for candidates with a diploma in engineering or a B.Sc. degree in relevant disciplines to join the engineering program in the second year. By doing so, these candidates can save one year of study and complete the Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in a shorter duration.

PULEET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

• Nationality: Indian
• Age: Minimum 17 years as on December 31, 2024
• Educational qualification: Passed Diploma in Engineering of minimum 3 years duration from a recognized institute/university after 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics
• Minimum aggregate marks: 60% (55% for SC/ST/BC/PwD)
• Application fee: Rs. 1000 (General) / Rs. 500 (SC/ST/PwD)

• The results will be declared on August 14, 2023.

• The results will be available on the official website of the Panjab University.

• The results will contain the following details:

• You can check your results online or by SMS.

PULEET 2024 Counselling

1. The candidates will be allotted a seat in the PTU Institute of Engineering and Technology, Panjab University, Chandigarh, Dr. S.S. Bhatnagar University Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology, Panjab University, Chandigarh, or Panjab University Swami Sarvanand Giri, Regional Centre, Hoshiarpur, based on their rank and the availability of seats.
2. The candidates will have to pay the admission fee online.
3. The candidates will have to submit the original documents and a self-attested copy of the documents at the counselling venue.
4. The candidates will be allotted a roll number and a reporting time for the admission process.
5. The candidates will have to report to the counselling venue on the allotted date and time.

Documents Required at Counselling

1. Admit Card and Rank Card: The original admit card and rank card of the entrance exam are usually essential for verification purposes.

2. Counseling Call Letter: The official counseling call letter or invitation that the candidate receives.

3. Identification Proof: Any valid government-issued photo identification proof like Aadhar card, Passport, Voter ID, etc.

4. Class 10th and 12th Mark Sheets and Passing Certificates: Original mark sheets and passing certificates of class 10th and 12th board examinations.

5. Category Certificate: If applicable, the category certificate (OBC/SC/ST/EWS) issued by the competent authority.

6. Domicile Certificate: Some institutions may require a domicile certificate to determine eligibility for state quota seats.

7. Character Certificate: A certificate of good character issued by the school or college last attended.

8. Medical Certificate: In some cases, a medical certificate confirming physical fitness may be required.

9. Passport-sized Photographs: Recent passport-sized photographs as per the specifications mentioned by the conducting authority.

10. Receipt of Counselling Fee Payment: Proof of payment of the counseling fee, if any.

11. Migration Certificate: This may be needed if the candidate is from a different board or university.

12. Transfer Certificate: Transfer certificate from the institution last attended, if applicable.

13. Any Other Relevant Certificates: Any other certificates or documents requested by the conducting authority or mentioned in the official counseling notification.
