AME CET

AME CET (Academy of Maritime Education Common Entrance Test), a national level scrutiny, is conducted by the Indian Maritime University IMU) for the undergraduate maritime engineering degree purposes in their own campuses and institutes affiliated to IMU in all around India. The objective of the selection is to pick candidates having a bent of mind in the myriad fields of maritime, science, and technology for further studies in BTech Marine Engineering course spanning over 4 years. 

The AME CET test consists of 200 multiple-choice questions testing the levels of general English, general knowledge, logical reasoning, quantitative ability, and the introductory physics, chemistry, and mathematics texts of the senior secondary level. The exam, which is conducted in June annually, is being carried out in online mode. On completion of the AME CET apparently and selection of choices by the candidates, the centralized counseling is the procedure to perform allotment of seats among the candidates.
